I hope that you are well.
Last activity day we learnt the basics of sculpting, while the little ones played with playdough. A big thankyou to Charlotte who came all the way across town to share her expertise with us. She has also offered to “fire” the sculptures in her kiln so that we will have them back in July/August. I’d like to also thank the mums who made playdough for the little ones. It turned out to be a very creative day indeed!
This week Paula has arranged to have Fr Nicholas Pearce to come to the activity day. Father Nicholas is an assistant priest from Hampton Park.
Father will give a talk on the Sacred Heart, hear confessions and enrol the children in the brown scapular.
Please bring your own scapular for each of your children if you wish that they be enrolled
*Also, a reminder: if you would like to do the wooden name decorations that Mariangela is running on the 20th of July, then please let her (or one of us) know because the materials have to be ordered.

A big “thank you” to Tanya and Rebecca for running the gardening workshop. It was a big hit with everyone. One mum even said that it was her favourite activity day so far. Considering that it was pouring outside and the activity was done entirely inside the hall. I think the children should be commended on their exceptional behaviour.
This week’s activity is sculpting. A dear friend of mine, Charlotte, has offered her time and talent, to show our children some basics in sculpture.
This is really a privilege for us, because as well as being a homeschooling mum, Charlotte is a renowned sculptor whose work has featured in gallery exhibitions in Australia and overseas.
If you would like to take a look, her websites contain examples of her beautiful sculptures: Charlotte’s Religious Art and Sculpture by Charlotte
It should a very creative day! I hope you can make it.
