Thanks to Kelly and Ben for taking the older kids to adoration, while Michelle and I were able to do the monstrance craft. It was a successful craft activity and a lovely day for all.
This Friday 27th June, Tanya is leading us in a “Planting day”. The children will be preparing seeds and seedlings so please bring:
- toilet rolls
- trays in which the toilet rolls
can be made to stand
- egg cartons

There weren’t many leftovers to take home from the last activity day! Thanks to Kelly for running a great day.
As we enter the winter months it’s a good time to become a bit more recollected and with that in mind our next activity day will focus on the beautiful feast days we celebrate each Sunday this month.
- Sunday, June 1st: The Ascension of Our Lord
- Sunday June 8th : Pentecost – the outpouring of the Holy Spirit
- Sunday June 15th : Trinity Sunday – Father, Son and Holy Spirit
- Sunday June 22nd : Corpus Christi – The Body and Blood of Our Lord
- Sunday June 29th : Sts Peter and Paul.
June is a thoroughly Catholic month! What’s more, our group is blessed to be meeting very near-by an adoration chapel, so this Friday morning, in the activity Michelle and I have planned, we’ll be taking the older kids for a quick visit to the Blessed Sacrament. BYO rosary beads or prayer book to use during some silent prayer time with Our Lord.
Meanwhile, the younger ones will stay cozy at the hall doing a “Monstrance” activity which we are borrowing from the wonderful “Catholic Icing” blog. For the very little ones we have some simple foam crafts that they’re sure to love.
Hope to see you there,
