Bush Dancing, Friday 18 September

September 14, 2015 § Leave a comment

Hi Everyone,

Thank you to Sam and Kelly for running the activities with the children last fortnight!

For the next activity day, Therese will be teaching the children the basics of bush dancing. The younger children will learn a simple dance. The older children will be learning a few more complicated dances.

She asks that the children come dressed in boots and country style clothing to get into the spirit of the day.

Also if anyone has sports equipment they could bring
(i.e. balls/outdoor activities) it would be much appreciated.
So the younger children are occupied whilst the older ones learn their steps.

Looking forward to seeing you all,

Introduction to Gregorian Chant, Friday 4 September

September 1, 2015 § Leave a comment

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to Pat for visiting our group last fortnight, and Stephanie for organising the day.

This Friday, Sam will be running an introductory lesson in singing Gregorian Chant. To participate, children need to be able to read (words) confidently (e.g. be able to sing following the words on a hymn sheet at mass) and be prepared to sound out some Latin. No previous musical training required and any interested parents are welcome to join. Kelly has a little song and activity organised for the little ones.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

God Bless,

Where Am I?
