All Saints Activity Day, Friday 28th October

October 23, 2016 § Leave a comment

Hi everyone.

We must really thank Georgette, whose talk on her special needs journey was just beautiful.

With All Saints’ Day just around the corner, this week’s activity is “dress-up as a saint”.  Perhaps the older ones could be prepared to tell us all about their chosen saint, particularly if they’ve chosen someone not so well known!

Saints: heroic, virtuous, holy!

It should a great way to together celebrate All Saints Day!  I hope you can make it.

A talk for our young kids by one of our mums , Friday 14 October

October 10, 2016 § Leave a comment

Here we are in Term IV already and this cold weather just won’t let up!

This week, one of our young mums has prepared a little presentation or talk on her journey with her special needs child.  Many of us in the group know a child with a disability or special needs so this is a subject very dear to our hearts.  The talk will be aimed especially at our little ones. Hopefully we will all come away with a good understanding of  the struggles and joys that these children face and the richness to be found in sharing in their lives.

The older kids, meanwhile, will be battling against the elements in the neighbouring parklands, Nerf-style!

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

God Bless,

Christina
