Hi everyone,

We are really in for a treat this Friday. We have arranged for a incursion with A&A Wildlife.  They hold a fun, interactive educational wildlife show that gives a unique experience of getting up close and personal with some amazing Aussie wild life

I hope you can make it.

Looking forward to seeing you there, God Bless,

Pottery Activity Day, Friday June 2nd

May 28, 2017 § Leave a comment

Hi everyone,

This week Kelly will be running a pottery day. The children will be exploring air dry clay. They will have a choice of finished objects to make, take home, dry and decorate. The clay used in this activity is no mess so that will be a bonus.

It looks like the car park is still under contruction.  You are most welcome to bring some indoor activities to keep your children occupied after the activity. Alternatively you may wish to take your children to the nearby park.

Looking forward to seeing you there, God Bless,
Christina

Hi everyone,

This week  Georgette will be running a candle making day. What a lovely gift idea for Mothers day. Even though she has already taken orders,  she still has a few jars remaining, so contact her if you want to do the activity.

I can’t wait for this one.

Looking forward to seeing you there, God Bless,

Stained glass window craft activity, Friday March 24th

March 20, 2017 § Leave a comment

Hi Everyone,

The next activity will be a stained-glass-window craft with the Lenten theme, “Waiting for the Risen Christ“.  The activity will be run by Celia and her daughter, Bernadette.

The children will cut designs out of black card, or choose a ready-made design (more suited to younger children) and fill in the empty spaces with the beautiful glowing colours of stained-glass windows.  Please bring a glue stick and scissors.  Keep in mind that sharp scissors are necessary, so each design should be cut by an adult or older child.

As we move to Laetare Sunday (the 4th Sunday of Lent) our windows will serve to remind us of the rapidly ending period of penance!

BYO glue stick and scissors!

I hope you can join us.

God bless, Christina

Hi everyone,

We’d like to give a big thanks to Daniel for running two activities in a row, they were both informative and fun.

Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day)

This week Georgette, Frances and Michelle will be making pancakes for Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day) which is celebrated on the 28th February this year. If you wish to participate in the activity, please bring along your own pancake batter, toppings, plates, and forks. We will cook them together in the hall. If anyone has a spare electric fry pan they can bring, that would be a great help. There will be a pan specifically for those with allergies. So no need to bring morning tea, I think the pancakes will be enough.

Looking forward to seeing you there,

Christina.

Hi everyone,

Thank you to Daniel for running such a great day, about the Church liturgical colours.

Remember to bring your own pencil!

Remember to bring your own pencil!

This Friday Daniel is again running a catechetical activity – this time on the Fruits of the Holy Spirit. All he asks is that we each bring a pencil and a sharp memory!

This week we are also having a special gluten free morning tea. Please do your best to bring a plate or snack to share that does not contain gluten. Please mark your plate as “Gluten Free”.

Looking forward to seeing you there, God Bless,

Weaving and Loom Activity Day, Friday September 16th

September 12, 2016 § Leave a comment

Hi everyone,

Everyone really enjoyed the book character day.  I don’t think we’ll ever forget the tornado!  Thank you for such a fantastic effort from all.

Please bring any bits of yarn you have – it doesn’t matter what it is!

This Friday we will be making our own weaving looms from cardboard and learning how to weave on them. Kelly asks that we each bring whatever bits of yarn we have available. Everyone will get to take home their own loom; it sounds like we’re going to have lots of creative fun this week!

Looking forward to seeing you there, God Bless,
Christina
