Curriculum materials display (Seton), Friday April 21

April 17, 2017 § Leave a comment

Happy Easter everyone!  A big thanks to Celia and Bernadette for running the last activity. The intricacy of the detail in the stain glass windows we made, and the thoroughness of preparation that they put in to make the activity day run smoothly was remarkable.

For next Friday’s activity day, Kelly has again invited the Australian distributor for the ‘Seton Home Study School’ curriculum, to show us a selection of Seton materials. We will also be given a talk by a lady who would like to share her phonics program with us.

Reminder: There will be council work going on in the hall’s carpark. This work will be carried out for a few weeks while we are at the hall.  The children will not be permitted to play out side due to safety issues. You are quite welcome to bring some indoor activities to keep your children occupied. Alternatively you may wish to take your children to the nearby park.

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

God Bless,

Pancake Day 2017, Friday 24 February

February 20, 2017 § Leave a comment

Hi everyone,

We’d like to give a big thanks to Daniel for running two activities in a row, they were both informative and fun.

Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day)

This week Georgette, Frances and Michelle will be making pancakes for Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day) which is celebrated on the 28th February this year. If you wish to participate in the activity, please bring along your own pancake batter, toppings, plates, and forks. We will cook them together in the hall. If anyone has a spare electric fry pan they can bring, that would be a great help. There will be a pan specifically for those with allergies. So no need to bring morning tea, I think the pancakes will be enough.

Looking forward to seeing you there,

Reptiles! Friday 22nd August

August 19, 2014 § Leave a comment

Hi everyone.

Our “sacrifice beads” activity was indeed memorable, it went really well.  We have had reports of children using them assiduously since then! Many blessings no doubt will fall upon their households.  Stephanie is to be congratulated for the effort she put into running the day. Thanks, Steph!

On Friday August 22nd, Kelly has organised for us to host a reptilian educational session that nobody will ever forget! froggy

This session will be geared to a very wide age-range so there will be something of interest to all ages.

We hope you all enjoy the day. I can’t wait!
