Christmas party, 2017, Friday 15th December
December 11, 2017 § Leave a comment
Hi everyone,
Our final activity for the year is our Christmas party. If you are able to bring a festive dish to share, that would be great. There will be games, a pinata, Kris Kringle and lots of fun to be had.
Finally, thank you to each of you, for helping to make each activity day a time where we can all relax & enjoy the company of like-minded mothers, where our children can enjoy informal activities, build lasting friendships and be introduced to new ideas and new opportunities to grow in holiness, wisdom and knowledge. It has been a year of great blessings.
I hope you can make it to our final activity day, and I hope that Christmas brings you and yours great joy.
Christina

Irish dancing activity, Friday 1st of December
November 28, 2017 § 1 Comment
Hi everyone,
This week the very talented Emily will be teaching the children Irish dancing. She asks that the children wear light and loose fitting clothes so that they can move around with ease. Also there will be a hard shoe dancing class for the boys, so if it is possible, please have your boys wear dress shoes.
Looking forward to seeing you there, God Bless,
Christina
Leather work activity, Friday 3rd of November
October 29, 2017 § Leave a comment
Hi everyone,
This week we will step back in time to make an ancient style drawstring leather pouch for carrying treasures such as rosaries or coins. Students will use a combination of upholstery leather and vegetable tanned leather for the project. Suitable for all ages young and old. There will also be an opportunity to try out some more advanced leather stamping techniques which older students will enjoy as well. Emma.
Looking forward to seeing you there, God Bless,
Christina
Grass/sprout heads activity day, Friday 20th October
October 8, 2017 § 2 Comments
Hi everyone,
This week Rebecca will be making grass/sprout heads with the children. It sounds like a lot of fun especially because these will start growing quickly in this lovely spring weather. She asked me to request that if the mums have any old stockings then could they please bring them along. Also if anyone has a spare glue gun, that would come in handy too.
Hope to see you there.
God Bless,
Christina.

Hi Everyone,
This week, John and Sam will give us a presentation on composting and worm farming. If you want any of your children to start their own worm farm then please bring an empty ice cream container. The worms and bedding for the worms will be provided, long with some handouts on care of worms and how to compost.
I hope you can make it along – it should be a great day.
See you there,
Christina
Activity Day, Friday September 8
September 3, 2017 § Leave a comment
Hi everyone,
We’re embracing a multicultural theme for the next activity day. Tell us about a culture that’s captured your imagination. It doesn’t have to be your own.
Mums, for morning tea, please bring a plate representing your child’s chosen country. If the children would like to bring something to share about their chosen country, or dress in its national costume, it would certainly add to the day for everyone. Older children might like to prepare something brief, highlighting something special about that country:
- where is it?
- population?
- famous saints?
- famous historical figures?
Let’s eat, dress up and celebrate what’s beautiful in the world’s cultures!
Hope to see you there,
Christina
